Oshiomole denies PDP use of stadium for campaign

Benin City - Gov Adams Oshiomole of Edo State has allegedly denied the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the use of the Samuel Ogbemudai Stadium, reports NewsDay
The party had applied to use the venue for the flag off of its campaign for the governorship election in the state.
The PDP had approached the management of the stadium for use of the facility in good time and were assured of the availability of the stadium on Monday.
The date was reserved for party and was told to come and make payment on Thursday.
However, when the party attempted to make payment, it was told that the place is no longer available for that date.

The PDP then requested for another date, Tuesday. The stadium management also rejected it, claiming that Tuesday is also occupied.
When asked by the PDP to advise it on any other free date during the week, the stadium management also declined, claiming that the whole week will be occupied.
Checks from the register of the reservations for the main bowl, however revealed that the place will be free for the next two weeks.
It was gathered that the order not to grant PDP the use of the stadium was from the governor
