Abuja - Professor Wole Soyinka has stated that he demands corrupt Nigerians to be jailed as his birthday gift for this year, Naij reported.
As he clocks 82, Soyinka has various activities lined up for his birthday and to celebrate his success.
An event held in Ogun State to celebrate his birthday said that his one great wish would be to see all the corrupt Nigerians be held behind bars if they are found guilty.
Vanguard reports that Soyinka also spoke in Abeokuta, where he was addressing 82 students who entered the Wole Soyinka International Cultural Exchange programme which was held to mark his 82nd birthday.
Creative writers at the event were encouraged to use their art in order to fight corruption.
Stakeholders across the country have been called to join hands and fight corruption.
